2021 Jeep Compass was unveiled today in India. The Jeep Compass made its debut in 2017 in the sub continent and it was time for a facelift. The 2021 Jeep compass gets exterior and interior updates as well as some feature additions.
Even though exterior updates are minor, interior and feature upgrades are substantial. On the outside it gets a new body colour option along with tweaked seven-slat grille, new front and rear bumpers, new full-LED headlights, new 18-inch alloy wheels, new LED taillights and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
On the inside new revised dashboard with a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen unit makes it look more premium than before. The switch knobs for the climate control and push start-stop have been re-positioned and have a knurled finish on them. The interiors now get soft-touch upholstery, ventilated seats and there is a new 3-spoke steering wheel as well along with an updated instrument panel.
2021 Jeep Compass also gets 8-way adjustable electric seats, powered tailgate and wireless charging.
The 10.1 inch infotainment is based on FCA’s new Uconnect 5 technology that has an android based operating system. So it now gets connected car features along with voice command assist and over-the-air (OTA) updates and will continue to offer features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto among others.
Engine specs remain same as before on the 2021 Jeep Compass. It is powered by 1.4-litre, four-cylinder, Multi-Air petrol engine mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). While the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, Multi-Jet diesel engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission or a nine-speed automatic transmission.
