Pravaig Extinction MK1 electric sedan is India’s answer to Tesla with a range of 500 km on single charge. The Bengaluru based electric car startup is aiming to launch the EV in 2021. It looks sleek and modern and will initially be available only in Delhi and Bengaluru initially and slowly roll down to other states.
Design
The all electric Pravaig Extinction MK1 looks modern with sleek futuristic design. It is aerodynamic, featuring a sloping roofline, a lightly sculpted bonnet and a slim blacked out headlamps with projectors with a single strip LED DRL connecting both the headlamps. At the rear it gets three slim strips of LED taillights.
On the sides, the sedan gets a sleek profile, two doors, body-colored ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Interiors of the electric sedan have not been revealed yet.
Power and Performance
Pravaig Extinction MK1 is powered by a 96kWh battery pack and an electric motor delivering astonishing 201hp of power and a top-speed of 196km/h. It is touted to run 504km on a single charge and can juice up to 80% in just 30 minutes. It can sprint from zero to 100 kmph in just 5.4 seconds.
In India, Hyundai Kona has the highest claimed range of 452km, followed by MG ZS EV with 340 km on a single charge. Tesla, which is still not present in India has the Model 3 performance variant which has a claimed range of 507 km.
The company has issued a statement revealing its plans to initially produce 2,500 units of the EV from next year. Pravaig Extinction MK1 will be primarily used for commercial fleets on a subscription based model.
