Mahindra Nuvosport, replacement for the Quanto launched in Mumbai today with an aggressive price tag of INR 7.35 Lakhs. The top end variant is just under INR 10 lakhs at 9.76 lakhs (Ex – Showroom, Thane
Mahindra Nuvosport has a redesigned front with styling tweaks at the rear. At the front the Nuvosport is adorned with a new grille, headlamps, air intake on hood, DRL’s above the headlamps, new bumper and round fog lamps. Rear gets new clear lens tail lamps and a new spare wheel cover. Mahindra designers gave the sub 4m SUV rugged looks with the help of black plastic cladding, front skid plate and roof spoilers.
Nuvosport interiors are similar to the Quanto, equipped with a beige dashboard with chrome inserts, dual color beige an black leather seats. In terms of features the compact SUV is now equipped with a 6.2 inch touchscreen AVN system (Similar to the one offered on Rexton), multi function steering wheel with buttons to operate cruise and music system.
In terms of safety Mahindra Nuvosport is equipped with ABS and Airbags as an option even on the base variant. Equipped with a 1.5 liter mHawk engine churning out 105 PS of power and 240 NM of torque mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox, has a fuel efficiency figures of 17.35 Km/l.
The Quanto replacement measures 3985 mm in length, 1850 mm in width and 1870 mm height with a wheelbase of 2760 mm and a boot capacity of 412 liters which can be extended upto 850 liters.
