Maruti Suzuki Baleno to launch in India on 26th of October. Specifications of Baleno hatchback were recently revealed on the Team-Bhp forum. Maruti Suzuki has decided to load the Baleno hatchback with almost all the features that are available in the segment leader Hyundai i20 Elite. The hatchback is feature loaded with plenty of space and backed by Maruti’s unbeatable service network.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno based on the ‘Liquid Flow design’ looks modern and stylish at par with the competition. The Baleno measures 3,995 x 1,745 x 1,500 mm (Length x Width x Height) with a wheelbase of 2,520 mm and a ground clearance of 180 mm. Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be available in 7 colors – Solid Fire Red, Premium Urban Blue, Metallic Premium Silver, Autumn.
The engines will be borrowed from its smaller sibling Swift. It will be available with a 1.2-litre, VVT petrol churning out 83 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 115 Nm @ 4,000 rp and the already established 1.3-litre, DDiS diesel churning out 74 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm @ 2,000 rpm
Baleno hatchback will be available in four trim levels – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. All the variants come with dual front airbags and ABS+EBD. Zeta and Alpha variants will be equipped with 195/55 R16 alloys.
