Audi A3 Cabriolet has been launched in India at Rs 44.75 lakh (Ex – Showroom, Delhi) via the CBU (Completely Build Unit) route. The A3 Cabriolet is available with a petrol engine which is borrowed from the A3 sedan. This 1.8 TFSI petrol engine churns out 180 PS power with 250 NM torque, mated to a 7 – Speed twin clutch automatic transmission. Capable of a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 7.8 seconds with a top speed of 242 km/h. The A3 Cabriolet sports Audi-signature daytime running LED lamps, bi-xenon headlamps, hexagonal grille, dashboard layout and equipment are borrowed without any change from the A3 sedan.
The dual-tone interiors feature four Jet turbine shaped circular A/C vents, a 3.5-inch multimedia screen and a dual analogue dial instrument cluster. Safety features like ABS, ESP, Airbags are standard.
A3 Cabriolet is a 4-seater two door car with a soft top fabric hood which opens and closes in less than 18 seconds, up to a speed of 50km/h. This is the third cabriolet model in India after Porsche Boxster and Mini Cooper. Till now Audi R8 V10 Spyder was the sole convertible model by Audi in India.
