Fiat India has launched the face-lift Punto renaming it as Fiat Punto Evo in the country today at a mouth watering introductory price of INR. 4.55 Lakh going upto INR 7.19 Lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The Base petrol version starts at INR 4.55 Lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) and the top end at INR 6.55 Lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The Diesel version starts at INR 5.27 Lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) and the top end at INR 7.19 Lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
Fiat has done a comprehensive work on the interiors as well as the exteriors of the vehicle. Swept back headlamps similar to what is going to be offered on the upcoming Fiat Cross-over Aventura. A slight power bulge on the bonnet, Led Tail lamps, Chrome inserts on the rear and front bumper,and the Dual exhaust look makes the Evo look more attractive than the outgoing model. It is offered with two Petrol engines 67 BHP 1.2 litre and 89 BHP 1.4 Litre fire engine and one diesel engine 1.3 litre in two states of tuning 75 BHP and 90 BHP.
Fiat Group Automobiles India President and Managing Director Nagesh Basavanhalli said “We are now strengthening our product portfolio in India with cars that are designed and engineered keeping Indian conditions and need in mind,”
Fiat will launch the Aventura followed by the Abarth 500 later this year. Fiat-Chrysler has already announced the introdution of the Jeep brand in India later next year. The Abarth version of the Punto is expected to launch not before 2018.
