According to a report by Financial Express, Tata motors is set to foray into South American market by setting up a car plant in Venezuela. Tata motors is trying to reposition itself in the domestic market as well as penetrating in the overseas market.
This is the first passenger vehicle plant in overseas market. Till date Tata motors has 9 commercial vehicle plants overseas. Tata Motors spokesperson confirmed this development. Financial express also disclosed that the plant may be run with a local partner to assemble Indica and Manza via comletely knocked down kits exported from India.
